About the Role


We are looking for an Underground Mining Projects Coordinator to join the team on site working on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementation of sustaining capital projects, efficiency improvement projects, infrastructure and services supporting mining. Along with working collaboratively with the technical, operations and contractor teams providing input to assist in achieving production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance to WHS legislation and FML standards, processes and procedures. This role also provides input to the planning and execution of mine development, drill and blast, and production mining activities, ensuring they are carried out safely and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation of Sustaining Capital projects such as primary ventilation, power, dewatering, communication and escapeways.
  • Plan the installation and maintenance of surface and underground infrastructure and services that support mining.
  • Contractor management and supervision of non-mining contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site standards and critical risk management requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through field interactions and critical risk control verifications.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve underground mining efficiencies, productivity and cost reduction.
  • Provide input to the planning and execution of mine development, drill and blast, and production mining activities, ensuring they are carried out safely and efficiently

 

About You

  • WA Underground Supervisors or Statutory Supervisor certificate.
  • C Class Manual Vehicle Licence
  • Mining Diploma or Degree
  • Underground mining relevant work experience more than 7 years.
  • Project planning and implementation skills
  • Contractor Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of the new WHS (2020) Act and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, DGSA (Explosives) 2004 and other applicable mining legislation.
